I was listening to Eckhart Tolle this morning and he said something that sparked an idea that I wanted to share with you about awakening and marketing.

What Eckhart said was that there are 3 modalities of awakened doing in which you can align your life with the creative power of the universe. These modalities allow you to connect your actions with the awakened consciousness that is emerging into this world. 

Acceptance: The Beginning of Consciousness and End of Negativity

The first modality is Acceptance… accepting what is right now. If you are accepting what is, that is a higher state of consciousness than becoming lost in negativity, worry, sadness, anger, frustration, impatience, and other egoic states.

Often when we are having to market our business, there is a lot of resistance. We wish we could simply do our work and not worry about promotion. We look to others to show us what to do and often they lead us astray and we find ourselves even more frustrated than before. 

Sometimes we’re simply marketing because we are worried about the future and need to drum up some business. And we can get into a big complaint-fest with ourselves or anyone else who will listen! None of these ways of being are very conscious, and the results are usually not great. 

If we bring Acceptance into our marketing, then we accept that we must market to connect with our tribe. We also must accept that we have a certain reach right now, and while we may wish we had a broader reach, we are working with what we have right now. There is no positive benefit from being upset about what is not yet so. Accepting where we are puts us in a better place to connect with others who are conscious, as we are starting from a more conscious place of peace with what is.

Enjoyment: The Expansion of Joy

When the creative power of the universe becomes conscious of itself, it manifests as joy. All you need to do is make the present moment your focal point instead of sadness over the past or worrying about the future.

Enjoyment happens when you are in gratitude to the stillness, the peace, the presence that is here now. If you are seeking expansion and positive change, they are more likely to manifest if you can enjoy what you are doing already, instead of waiting for some change so that you can start enjoying what you do.

I relate this to marketing in that when you are actually enjoying the process of connecting with your tribe you are providing an uplifted energetic to the world, and joy is being expanded with you and with the recipient of your message. Getting present and quieting the noise in the brain, then choosing a marketing activity that you enjoy, will assist you in creating a stronger magnetic pull to your message

Enthusiasm: Creativity that Inspires Consciousness

The third modality is Enthusiasm, and that is when you are fully conscious and fully creating your reality, whether that be a marketing project, a new training, a blog post, painting or a song, and you are doing so in alignment with your Soul. When something you enjoy doing becomes empowered by consciousness and purpose, its potential expands. The results of the enthusiastic creative process is that whatever you do becomes a vehicle for consciousness.

If you can market from this state of enthusiasm, your tribe attracting activities become the fulfillment of your Soul’s Purpose.
